Hi All, We have an issue where the Download Patch Definitions job just remains 'In Progress'. I've viewed the following thread and removed the 3.5. The deployment status of definition updates is stuck at in progress and I donot know the reason. (deployment status of definition updates).
This issue might be because of several reasons such as the security software you may have installed on the computer, any program or application running on the computer at the back ground.

Method 1: Perform Clean Boot
Cancel Download Of Patch Definitions In Progress
Placing your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot

The patch download task in VMware vCenter Update Manager fails to complete. Please check your Windows updates (including optional updates).
- At the Start screen, type Windows Update.
- Click or tap Settings on the right side of the screen, and then select Check for Update.
- Download and Install the latest Windows Updates.
